Having worked with Nancy as my personal trainer for several months, I have a newfound understanding of what a great workout feels like and just how far I can push myself. Nancy took the time to assess my current physical abilities at our first session together, and with each subsequent session she began to challenge me with new exercises and techniques. No two workouts were alike in that Nancy introduced me to new equipment and a variety of ways to work the same muscle groups. I hated to exercise! Hate, Hate, Hate! My struggle was to find a place where I felt I belong, where is was fun to work out and accommodations could be made for me at age 60. My biggest frustration was feeling exhausted after a Zumba session, in pain, and with no personal support. I was also seeming to lose my balance easier. Because of this struggle I worked out less and less, and therefore never got to a comfortable place in my exercise routine. By “comfortable” I don’t mean easy, I mean able to relieve pain after sessions, and focus on a program designed for me. I fell several times, so I felt less confident in myself.  

I feel so much better now. I am very confident in my physical abilities and can spend great quality time with my grandson who is 13 months old. I play basketball with my two older grandsons! I sleep better. I have some muscle definition which is cool when one is older. I love coming to the classes and spending time with Nancy. She is very flexible with how work outs are designed to get the best results for me. She makes exercise fun, yet manages to keep pushing you on for better and better results. She is a professional, very well trained for her role in coaching and mentoring. Classes are NEVER boring, there is always something new and challenging.

I had been jogging for several decades and felt that I was generally in good shape. But I knew that the upper part of my body was lacking strength.  I had been on a swim team in high school and could remember how strong my arms were back then. Before finding Pinnacle, I was afraid to challenge myself, as I had injured my back several times in the past. I was frustrated because I was trying to perform 150 minutes of resistance training/exercise/week, but was uncertain if I was doing the exercises correctly. I lacked confidence in my ability to actively participate in any physical activity, and I was afraid of embarrassing myself. Since I started training at Pinnacle I am stronger and more confident in my capabilities.  I now realize that I just need to practice...plus I enjoy exercising and actually look forward to my training and the classes! ~Anonymous

Before finding Pinnacle Fitness I struggled with going to the gym.  I paid for a monthly membership but wasn't held accountable.  I was intimidated walking into the big gyms. Even though I am quite familiar using the equipment, I still felt uncomfortable going to the gym and would often find every excuse to not go. My struggles going to the gym made me less active and more sedentary which made me even less comfortable with working out. When I joined Pinnacle Fitness, people were friendly and welcoming. I never felt intimidated.   The studio is a safe place to work out and achieve your goals.  Everyone is encouraging.   Not only do I work out, I also see it as social time as I have become friends with the other clients.  I look forward to my sessions and classes.  We each motivate each other to do better and work harder. Now I actually enjoy working out and look forward to going to the studio.
